Register for a tournament

Find a tournament, check the format and entry fee, and sign up in the app or on the website.

Last updated

Organizers run tournaments alongside their ladders. Registration is quick, and you can see everything you need before you sign up.

Find a tournament

  • In the app: open Discover and switch to the Tournaments segment. Tournaments open for registration are listed first.
  • On the website: go to Tournaments.
  • From your organizer: open the tournament link they sent you.

Check the details

The tournament page shows:

  • Name and dates
  • Format: single elimination, double elimination, or round robin
  • Entry fee, if there is one
  • Spots left
  • The organizer

It has two tabs: Bracket (or Standings for round robin) and Players, so you can see who has signed up.

Register

  1. Open the tournament.
  2. Tap Register.
  3. If there is an entry fee, the Pay sheet shows the amount and who it is paid to. Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card.

Entry fees go to the club or organizer running the tournament. If a payment does not go through, you can try again from the tournament page.

Registration closed or full

When the registration deadline passes or every spot is taken, the tournament shows that registration is closed or full.

Tournaments from your ladder

Some organizers create a tournament from a ladder and add its members. Seeding can follow ladder rank, so your ladder results can matter here too. Some tournaments also count their results on the linked ladder.

What happens next

When the organizer starts the tournament, the bracket is built. You get a notification when your first match is ready. See Play your tournament matches.
