Running a ladder

Invite players

Grow your ladder by sharing its link, sending email invites, or pasting a list of players.

Players create free accounts and join your ladder with one tap. Here are the ways to bring them in.

  1. Open your ladder.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Send the link by text, email, or your group chat. It comes with a ready message that includes the city and player count.

The link is personal to you, so TennisLadder can show how many players you have brought in. You can also show a QR code for people to scan at the courts.

Invite by email

From the ladder's Members screen, enter a player's email address to send an invite. In the app, you can also choose Invite from contacts. Contacts with an email get an invite. Contacts with only a phone number get a text message with the link.

Private ladders can only be joined through an invite.

Paste a list

Starting with an existing group? Paste lines of "Name, email", one player per line. TennisLadder sends the invites and tells you who was invited, who was already invited, and who is already a member.

Invite from another ladder

If you run more than one ladder, you can pick players from one ladder and invite them to another.

Track your invites

The Sent invites list shows each invite as pending, expired, or joined. Invites last 7 days. Tap Resend to send a fresh link.

Players can invite too

Members can share the ladder from the same Share button. On a player's profile, members can also tap Invite to my ladder.

When you reach your player limit

The free plan allows up to 10 players. When the ladder is full, new players join a waitlist, and you see who is waiting. Existing players are never removed. To make room, see Plans and pricing.

Send an announcement

To reach everyone at once, send an announcement email to your members. You can send one per ladder every 24 hours.
